Week 10
1.personal breakdown
2.optimized sp files
3.render assistent&render lookdev stills for group breakdown
4. helped with poster making
In the final week, we moved into the closing stage of the project. We began preparing our individual breakdowns and rendering 4K still images. During a group meeting, we also discussed and finalized the content for our poster. Special thanks to Hannah for collecting the materials and editing both the poster and the video.
As the look development of our scene went through multiple iterations, the materials currently used are no longer the original quilt version that had previously been shown to the mentors. Therefore, I reorganized the key textures in the scene and re-rendered the turntable. At the same time, I set up and rendered the diffuse, roughness, and bump passes for each shot in the look development section. Since most of the assets in our scene consist of fabric, wood, and plants, a metalness pass was not required.
When uploading the project archive file, the size of my Substance Painter (SP) file was too large to upload to Dropbox efficiently. Even if the upload were successful, it would be difficult for others to download. Therefore, I optimized the file by removing unnecessary layers and temporarily reducing the texture set resolution to 128. This significantly reduced the file size while still allowing the texture resolution to be restored later if needed.
